Information for teachers
Due to the many funny and clarifying illustrations and the easy to understand language this is a very accessible novel for beginners. Some words and phrases are translated at the bottom of the page and there is a Spanish-English glossary at the end. A comic easy reader, at about A-1 level.
Apart from everyday events the book covers people, myths and cultural aspects of Spanish speaking countries, like the day of the Dead, Tuesday the 13th, Picasso and Dali and more.
The book can be read individually, but it might also be nice to do one or more of the stories in class. There you could do several activities that would enhance comprehension and make reading even more enjoyable.
